Welcome to “La Casina de Giranes”
“Thank you for visiting it. We would like to present ourselves, we are Luisma and Susana and our story has just begun. We come from Madrid we run away from the asphalt and we found this wonderful place where life goes more slowly and you can live intensely the hours of day. A place where wild animals, like boards, deers, foxes or birds live together with us free.
We have rehabilitated this antique house, stone by stone and wood-by-wood. We would like to share with you our experience and show you this privileged place full of energy and immersed in the nature”

LOCATION AND SETTING
La Casina de Giranes hamlet, is situated in the heard of the apple cider area and is surrounded by spectacular mountain valleys in direct contact with nature. Placed in a privileged environment with spectacular valleys and lush forests making it a wonderfull place. Located in the Central western part of Asturian, town of Cabranes, this is the most mountain region of this Cider´s shire with intact landscape of incomparable beauty, pure nature, between the Cost Cantabric and the mountains Picos of Europa.
The sea is to 20 km., from La CAsina, “Rodiles Beach” amazing and popular beach in Villaviciosa., this village is an artistic historical nucleus of Pre-romanesque, cider´s capital with famous “sidrerias” and fantastic restaurant. Also, very near you can find Picos de Europa (Lagos de Enol), and at less of 45 minutes cities like Oviedo, Gijon, Aviles. All near but in a rural place without noise where you obtain peace and relax to enjoy with the magnific views.

THE HOUSE
We have put all hopes, effort and illusion in restored this typical farmer house, dating 200 years old, to respect its traditional asturian architecture.
The house has 2 rural apartaments, individuals to capacity for 2-4 slepping, licensed by the Asturin Council of Tourism.
Each one have a kitchen totally equipment with microwave, salon-dinner with wood burner, TV and cards game, sofa-bed, one bedroom and bathroom., Both have terrace garden area to enjoy with the fantastic environment and to taste a asturian cider, barbacue. Private parking
Into the same farm there is a typical wooden granarys building asturian “Horreo” dated 400 years old. The Casina border on a asturian forest for walking and to see deer, foxy,special asturian tree, and in autum you can pick up mushroom and chestnut, view the cost and Sueve Natural Reserve (you can see wilds horses “asturcon”. Due the situation in the Cantabrian Cost there is always a good climate, with average temperatures 3 to 16º in winter and 16º to 25º in summer.

HOW TO GET THERE
By the motorway A-8 Gijon / Santander, go to Villaviciosa village and take AS-255 to Infiesto, -at 8 km- is Santa Eulalia de Cabranes, there you can see indication Xiranes 5 km, take this direction, into the Xiranes see La Casina de Xiranes cartel.
There are flighst from London to Asturias airport (Easyjet, Iberia, etc.).
Brittany Ferry sail from Plymouth to Santander.
